Storytelling workshop 2013:
Students were not provided with a module / notes because they already had a course module (LGA3103) to refer to.
The PowerPoint presentation is a very large file, and therefore is included here as a PDF - which can also be shown with an LCD projector. (If you would like to have the original PowerPoint, send a contact form and maybe it can be sent to you in 2 parts.)

As a workshop activity, participants were asked to walk and talk like a particular character. The following PowerPoint (again presented as a PDF to reduce the size) was used as a stimulus. The numbers on the slides refer to number cards the participants were handed as they arrived.

A story was first narrated theatrically, and then read aloud in a lively manner using pprojected pictures, as part of the demonstration and discussion in the workshop.
The story was "I've got music", which is included here. I recommend that you go to Scholastic and purchase this - or a similar suitable - storybook.

The story 'Beach Day" was used for a demonstration of shared reading. Groups of participants took the parts of the four characters in the book and read them out from the screen in expressive voices. (Again, I recommend purchase of this or similar books.)
