Using MovieMaker
MovieMaker is a useful tool for taking both photos (stills) and videos and weaving them together into a presentable 'movie'.
There are two forms of MovieMaker, and which one you choose may depend on which version of Windows you are running. If you are new to this, and you are making a choice, "Windows Live MovieMaker" is way simpler to use than the other Windows MovieMaker. However, I have played around with both, and neither is really complicated.
The main disadvantage with the Windows Live MovieMaker comes if you want to add layers of sound (such as voices, and music). You simply have to save your movie with one layer (maybe voices) and then take it back into MovieMaker and add the music.
(If you are using an Apple, then - I've heard - you are far better off using iMovie.)
Windows Live MovieMaker is reasonably intuitive to use. You might find it useful to look at the material on ICT Workshop if you are stuck, or drop us a line using the contact form on the Home page.
Some people get into difficulty when adding music: Here are some (well known) instrumental tracks (some are found also on the 'A Collection of TESL Resources' site) that you might like to try using.
